Hey - congratulations on the interview, Mel! You do inspiring work, and you're an inspiring guy. And thanks for throwing me in there, too. I certainly wasn't expecting that. Had to read it a couple of times to make sure I wasn't just imagining my name was there. Great set of sketches here too. I especially like that first guy.

I don't suppose you take request, do you? Because, I've always wanted to see...

Disney's Aladdin versus Disney's Hercules (sorta brains versus brawn)

Disney's Tarzan versus Disney's Mufasa (sorta man versus beast)

or just have a Rumble Royal among the four of them

I've been a fan of your work for awhile (I even have this place linked onto my blog), and thought that the request(s) above wouldn't be such a long stretch when it comes to your talent.

Take the request or not, I'll still be a friend.

Mel these are sweet. I can tell a difrence in the line quality with the cintique. Looking very tight and well designed. Oh and my mom said I can borrow your Cintique this weekend, so have it ready and I'll just swing by and pick it up after shool.

Hey Mel,

Wow, it's been way way too long since I've been here! I've had a lot of trouble viewing peoples blogs lately, but it seems to be working again. Well, congrats on the character design interview!!! ....and the Cintiq! That thing is awesome, I have to get one myself some day. I see you've had good use of it, the stuff you've posted lately kicks a** big time. A lot of cool designs and the linework is really delicious. I'm glad my blog bug seems to be fixed so I can come back more often now.

Take care,

Hans
