*Handshake*

Edit:

Edit:

This was something that a good friend and co-worker of mine used to play, who could get the first morning handshake out there. I usually lost torwards the end of the week but was at the top of my game at the beginning of it.

This was routine for me and my good friend Jason Ablett. When he passed away last weekend, it was it was a great shock to me and many other people who have had the pleasure of workin and hangin out with such a grand personality. Im sad that I wanted to post a picture up on my mel meets blog gettin one of those handshakes from him. This will haunt me for a long time and has made it difficult to post lately. So I wanted to shoot him out my blog handshake hoping that he knows that I miss him and that he had a great impact on me. Till we meet again my friend....

Sorry to hear about your friend. Comics and cartoons are such joyous things it is very hard for me to have anything to do with them when I am sad. Still, I hope that they can bring you some joy. And know that what you do brings all of us great joy. These sketches are excellent. I especially like the wizard and the guy dreaming of cake.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend! My condolences to you and his family... stay strong!

The sketches are great as always!

I once heard that the handshake was an old way of knights indicating that they were unarmed, an act of goodwill and a peaceful approach. That's always stuck with me and the game you guys played was quite plainly that. An act of goodwill and peace. Take care brother and know we're all thinking of you. P.S., sketches are stellar, as always. How's the new job panning out? Still busy as ever?

I was coming by to say I dig the new Simpsons avatar, but now I just want to tell you that I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. I can't begin to imagine how hard something like this is, but I know that this was a very great way to send a hand shake his way. You're in my prayers, Mel!

Your posts are so long. What you've posted in this one thing is more work than I put into seven or eight posts. I love the guy dreaming of cake... perfect expression for it. Even without the cake drawn in there, I would have assumed he was dreaming of cake. It's all in the masterfully crafted expression. Great stuff, man. Let's do lunch soon.

Great work as always, Mel! Man, you're good. Haha, I have to try out this simpsons thing.

The guy in the red-ish shirt is just brilliant! I love everything about him; the style, the expression, the personality, the shapes his huge arms make together with his small lower half..
He would look so good animated 8)

Sorry to hear about your friend. I wish I could say something to cheer you up, but losing someone close just sucks. A good friend of mine was killed by a drunk driver 2 years ago and I still miss him.
I wish we all could just be healthy n happy forever. But I guess we need to learn to appreciate life here so we can truly appreciate the after life when we get there.
