First day back at work and I realized how bad I suck...

So Ive been fortunate to have been blessed with a break. Its nice to finally spend time with my family, but Im really havin a hard time gettin back on the creative horse. I dont think Ive been this bad in a long time. ( If you couldnt tell from the lack of post )

Hopefully by the end of my break I will have half of the energy I had a year ago....Lets see how this unfolds.

Not much of a post. Tryin to get into gear this afternoon. So many things , so little time. Ive been in a slump for quite a while now and my creativity is at an all time low. I hope to get back to normal here soon. Just hangin in there for the time.

Where are you spring!?

The cold has been doin a number on my joints. Things have been hectic for a while now and I think its taken its toll on my creativity. Im ready to bump this slump... ( Im ready for you too spring, dont feel left out )

Helped me get warmed up with the drawin again. Awesome that you can set it up with timing as well as choose people or animals.

Ive always wanted to be a better story teller, not only with my drawings but as an animator and seeing this great collection that Sherm Cohen has put out on dvd has me chompin at the bit to get them. He does a wonderful job with demonstrating on his free tutorials (I actually used his art rage tut for the last painting I did and love the storyboard tips hes given away on his site ). He delivers a clarity in those that leads me to believe the set will be a welcome addition to my library. Will let you know when I get them!

And finally drawings. Theyre gettin sparce...yikes

Boy oh boy..

Welp I figured maybe I should try something different. I know its not much, but its something. Messin with artrage. Im not much of a painter but figure I need to try new veggies. Touched up in photoshop. My creative juices are at an all time low. Not to mention my energy levels. Man I cant wait for summer...

I havent seen the new Tron ( or been to the theater in 9 months...) I look forward to seein it one day. One day.....sigh..... Heres a fan sketch anyways..

More than thankful..

I hope everyone got stuffed over their break :)

My thanksgiving break was a chance to slow down and be really thankful. I complain alot. (Im a complainer by nature and a cynic to boot.) Sometimes to the point of really missing out on life. Crazy how insecure you can get when you get marrried and how much more so when you have a child.

Im so thankful for my wife who is the love of my life and the one who made me want to be a better person. My family who helped mold me. My son who taught me the biggest lesson of all: that life is delicate and nothing is forever. To live with purpose... My daughter who is teaching me that life is beautiful and that I should be an active participant. And finally to the people who come by here. Drawing has been my saving grace. An escape. And to have people to share it with has been healing. So to you I cant thank you enough for stoppin by and lookin at this one guy's scribbles.

Thanks for showin me the good in the world.

If I can keep up

Im gonna try and post everyweekend. Try being the key word... Soooo busy lately. Truly fun times. No complaints other than Im slow and tired. I also hope to have more to say other than complainin in the near future...

The Weekend

Finally. Im finding out its reallllllllly sucky leaving home more so now. And still tryin to figure out how people get ANYTHING done. Time is already flying by.

Anne is off runnin errands currently and the baby is asleep, so tryin to get some sketchin time in. I thought I was tired before... Thats all I got for now. Please bear with me. Til next time ...keep on keepin on!

She came a lil early ( 36 weeks but she is healthy and well worth the anxiety. And I thought i was a mess before...hope to one day get back to posting but for now I will be gettin to know my daughter a little bit better. See ya soon

How I miss my cintiq..

...and the time to use it...the home office is a mess. So many things I want to learn so little time. And I seem to be slowing down more and more lately. Getting to be chilly in the mornings which means old man winter is about to kik my ace yet again. That may be a good thing as I prolly need a swift kik.
