Oh man, this reminds me of being a kid.
ah memories... besides the bad health cause all them fries I ate as a kid, ronald will still have a soft spot in my heart. Sweet illustration!
you sure dumped off a ton of sketches recently!!! im lovin the amy man
Mel=bestest. This made me laugh pretty hard. As I was waiting the 1.5 seconds it took to display this image I read the title and thought that there was no way this would be a McDonalds post. I was wrong. Dang funny my friend.
Great gesture on this character, Mel. The very essence of clown-ness.
I don't know why they haven't gone "cartoon clown" on the Ronald thing over at McDonald's. Pictures of a dude in that red and yellow clown suit are unsettling at best. Submit this to them, and if someone there is smart, you'll keep getting richer while the world gets fatter. This is great... you should totally add color. Nice character adaptation, Mel... very nice indeed.
I really like the expression on his face as well as his gesture. I agree that you should slap some color on, as I think the offset reds and yellows would really look great on your drawing.Nice work!
Thanks for the comments man. I vist your Blog and your bros blog often.. greta stuff on both. I always love your monster design and the textures you achieve when rendering in pencil.. I think. Im the one, whos lovin "IT"
nice.very lightwith a slight bit of impliedinsanity:)
I agree with Shane, this is really good and deserves color. Man, you're a busy guy.. lots of amazing work here. Keep busy!
that's a great big mac!you're too good for words.
Nice and round; you don't see that enough in designs nowadays. Reminds me of Asterix...
You captured his freakiness very well! Looks like hes gona jump off the screen and shove that burger down my throat.
I think I'm gonna have Mickey dees tomorrow! Great job bro!
Nice work man. I love his shape!
Did you know that McDonald's actually owns the trademark on the particular formulas that makes up their famous red and yellow colors. How can you own a color? Seems wrong to me. All that aside- it's a nice happy scheme you have going here.-brian
Ah now I have that "do you believe in magic?" song in my head! Awesome drawing :)
I'm loving it.
Guess what i had for lunch today!? Thanks for the great idea!! Can't wait for next post bro!!;O)
Too good hah! I really like your take on the nutty guy. Colored version is great too. Now do the Hamburglar! Rubble Rubble.
I'm hungry!....for Big Mac and Mel Art:D Looks awesome and definitely more appealing than the usual Ronald which I find slightly scarry. I'm curious to why you decided to redesign the burger clown?Have a great weekend + holiday,Hans
Thanks all for the kind words!Coming from the amazing talent and alot of where my inspriation comes from it , means loads!hans--I did a sketch of him while a coworker and I were at mcdonals ( i was havin a happy meal so I could finally afford that hummer..) and i was lookin for it to post and couldnt find it so that nite I thought I wanted to pose him up and make him a lil stylized since I couldnt find the one I did. The story wouldve been coooler for me to say its side work and I made money off it .... one day I hope to get good enough ...sighthanks again!
I gotta hand it to you Mel, you really love to draw!!! And I'm glad you do...! Wonderful!
Awesome Mc.D ... I pay homage
Sometimes you see illustrators whose work makes your stomach tighten and twirl, and make you wish there were more hours in the day to get drawn all you want to draw.Your blog does that, excellent work my friend!
