Pre-vacation sketches....

I know I should be gettin ready to leave... Had an awesome lunch with some great people. My buddy Lael Henderson , his bro Duane from NC, and his neighbor Guy Francis went out to a Korean lunch. Superb food and magnificent company. Lael has always been an inspiration to me and my best bud so always nice to hang out with him and his bro is just as rockin. I was happy to be able to finally meet Guy. Always nice to meet utah artist especially face to face. Got a tour of his killer studio set up and dream of the day ... I coulda sworn I had a link to him to the right. ( sorry Guy. Puttin it there now. ) If you havent been to either Laels or Guys blog please check em out. They rock.Period.

Heres some sketchbook pro shizzle. Dont think I will sketch over vacation so no post til I get back!!

Peace!

Always an inspiration Mel! I esp. like your zebra, and the guy walking the dog. His expression makes me laugh out out. I don't think I'd ever been that excited about poop. What a riot! Good luck on your trip. I'm sure you need some time to deflate a while. Life can come at ya hard. Taking a breather can really help take the edge off. Have fun my friend.

Mel...... You are getting out of hand sir. You can do almost any style and do it well. I just can't imagine you going a day without sketching. At least use some napkins or wrapping paper. :)

sketchbook pro huh? i tried that a while back. i had some problem with it. my lines lost it's sharpness whenever i rotated my canvas. the last thing i drew on it was a blurry mess after i was done. it's weird cuz i know someone else who uses it and their lines are as sharp as yours.
