Things at work are gettin pretty busy. Ive still been able to keep at the writing ( although you'll have to take my "word" for it...Har har..) I dont get much time to do much else. Ive started a couple other little projects . Not that Ive stopped my first one. I just find myself havin fun at the makin up stuff stage and keepin the pressure of turning this into "somethin too serious" at bay. Last thing I need is another job at home...
I hope to figure out how to post up my writing. May do it in comic form and go page by page ( when I can find the time ). For now heres another character Im fleshin out for a seperate story.
Keep on keepin on!

Talk about a feast for the eyes! You hit home runs even when you're so busy. Now that's talent!
Gosh, Mel, this is awesome! Love the curves and shapes... really beautiful piece. I would, dare I say it LOVE to see him in a comic strip. Keep on rockin!
WOOOOOOOW!
Great work, Mel.
I totally understand the desire to make a hobby into something more. I have to fight that off constantly with my writing AND my art.
I just keep telling myself. I'm a software engineer... I'm a software engineer.
Keep it up!

Great to see you posting Mel. Love the look and design of this character as well as his facial expressions.
Great designs Mel, and all the better when you take into consideration work pressures. It seems that is something that so many of us are battling against. I'd love to be in a job where I was drawing a lot. Maybe I should just try to thumbnail out my animations at work more to get in that little bit more practice!
I agree about the curves and shapes, way to keep it interesting. I have a million little projects that I have to spread out too, it's hard to balance everything and finish it.
awesome stuff you got here!! Thanks!
I'm liking it. I'm liking it a lot. Great stuff.
This is me too. I have work. Then I have my side project. Then I have about 50 other projects that are always vying for side project status.
I heard about a study that was done on kids and drawing. They mean scientists decided that they would take groups of kids and have some draw for fun and others draw for a grade or for money. The ones that drew for fun still loved it at the end of the study. the others decided they didn't like to draw. Sad.
this looks awesome Mel! I love the shapes man, and with those guns that he calls arms he'd probably shoot clear cross California with those bad boys lol
but with the personal projects, i love having two or three at a time. finds myself not to get bored really quick, and keeps me on my toes creativity wise.
hope all is well tho mel
These are all sorts of awesome!!! great stuff man as usual
Hey Mel, looking great buddy, you always got something going. I love the design, espiecally the Buzz chin, maye try him with really tiny feet just to push that "V`shape even more.
Till next time!

You're busy but still you find the time to post great sketches! If I'm busy, I feel too guilty drawing something else than I'm supposed to.
Cool Mel. I don't know where you find the time man.
Fabulous characters Mel! I'm glad you haven't abandoned your side projects (including keeping us entertained with your latest and greatest). Thanks for making the time to post. Always a pleasure!
