Time seems to stand still..

I guess Im comin along fairly well physically. The emotions are still tuff. I feel that Im goin crazy, but Im told that its the norm. Its funny how life can change on the drop of a dime. I remember being the happiest guy on the planet vaguely...almost like my life was someone elses, or that it was years ago. I guess its the gettin back up that makes us who we are. I pray every day for the strength...

Anywhoo..wife bought me an art book. Ben Cauldwell's Fantasy Cartooning I have his Action Cartooning one too. I really like his style. So I sat down tonite and did some Ben type doodling.

Hope to have some of my joker model done soon. See ya when i lookatcha

Glad to see you are still drawing, I hope it helps with the healing process. Terrific sketches! Ben's book is great. If you don't mind another book suggestion, "Disappointment with God" by Philip Yancey is an excellent book for anyone wrestling with tragedy. Anyway, I love your drawings. Keep up the great work!

Hi Mel, your drawings are always perfect which is something I greatly admire. Your wife sounds like a very sweet person too and I'm glad she's with you. Just keep swimming and you'll make it. When you're ready to share your story, we'll be here to listen. Take care my friend...AM just isn't the same without you.

I know exactly what you are going through, because my wife and I went through it 11 months ago. When I saw the pictures of you and your son, it hit me like a ton of bricks because it was like looking in a mirror.

My advice... hang on to each other because you two are the only ones who can really know what you are going through. It's what got (is getting?) us through. The other thing that helps is trying to do all the good in the world my son never had a chance to do. It's one way we ensure he lives on.

If I can help you in anyway let me know... My wife has a blog that she has been writing, and it deals with a lot of the things we went through and are going through. Maybe it will offer you some comfort or at least validate the feelings you are having. Let me know if you want me to pass along the address.

Take care.. thinking good thoughts for you.
