Lack of Color...

Not much color in my life at the moment. Im hoping that this gloom passes me by here soon. I do feel good enough to be more consistant with the posting. Lets hope this is the begining of something good.

Im an Innocent Man....

So yeah Ive been gone a looonnnnnnngg time. Ive basically been in a creative slump. One of the worst ones Ive ever had. Lots on my plate. Im hoping to get back into some sort of groove but I seem to be slowing down these days. Which doesnt help gettin outta this funk. I thought I would be cured with a much needed break, but still havent been able to get back to that place.

Anyways for those who may still be watchin this spot I will try to do mo bettah.

So today Ive got a few drawings and a small "fer fun" piece of animation. ( Cleanin it up. Havent gotten to the brows or the straw. )

A power house of a person and a truly devine soul. I was fortunate to work along side him at sensory sweep and always hoped to work with him again. He made work fun. He was to me what being a creative was all about . I always wanted to have his enthusiasm and I will truly miss him. My blessings to his family.

Im glad met you Joe and can never thank you enough for being an inspiration to me

Hectic..

Ive been runnin on fumes lately. Good times but really tiring. Sorry for the lack o posts.

Busy Busy Busy

Things at work are gettin pretty busy. Ive still been able to keep at the writing ( although you'll have to take my "word" for it...Har har..) I dont get much time to do much else. Ive started a couple other little projects . Not that Ive stopped my first one. I just find myself havin fun at the makin up stuff stage and keepin the pressure of turning this into "somethin too serious" at bay. Last thing I need is another job at home...

I hope to figure out how to post up my writing. May do it in comic form and go page by page ( when I can find the time ). For now heres another character Im fleshin out for a seperate story.

Meet Stephan..

"So whats new?" some of you may ask. Others may say" whats with all the text? I thought you were a picture guy... " And the majority will quickly look at this post and move on to the next blog ( ..or back to youtube to find something loads more entertaining than this pile...) with out question.

So, to the two people who asked the questions ( My wife and myself ), the answer to the first ( posed by my wife ): Ive have now taken on yet another creative endeavor.. To spend time learning to write.

Writing? I know , Ive lost my mind. This is something Im goin to spend the next little while doing. Just for fun. Something to do to give purpose to my drawings. To make some characters and to get to know them for more than 15 minutes of sketch time. A project of sorts. Something that pushes me beyond my comfort zone. ( Which answers the second of the questions " whats with all the text " asked by -- yours truly. )

Finally, for the rest of you who peeled out and are now watching that hilarious clip of the monkey drinkin his own pee... oh right, I dont need to say anything to you guys. You've already left...

Muhndee is the first story I will tell and have been writing him for the past five days. ( you know you're impressed by that :) I havent decided where Im gonna post this prose of mine at the moment. I may put the actual stories in another blog and post the drawings / concepts here to keep this one the " lookat the pictures kids:)" blog.

I ask for forgiveness now to those who were expecting something far more enthralling...

With that said, on to todays post.. Finally...

Heres the second character in this so called story Ive been writing up. His name is Stephan.( Havent had much time to refine him or Muhndee because I want to spend more time focused on the words rather than the pics at this point. ) Dont worry, it won't make sense down the road either, 'cause I just started writing. I have no clue as to what Im doin and that will be the recurring theme in my upcoming posts....

Alright Muhndee. I posted as per our agreement. I expect tomorrow to go smoother than it did every Monday since I was born....

Sooooooo....

I was having a discussion with Monday today ( Spelled "Muhndee" ). He said he would ease up on me this year if I spent more time fleshing out his world and improving his rep.

He enjoyed the posts that he was featured in , but thought I could shed more light on why people misunderstand him ( including myself .) In return, he would help me learn to be more creative and not harrass me long enough that I can do it properly.

So there you have it. My new direction ( and personal project ) for the year. Basically Ive lost my mind and am having conversations with Monday... ( *ahem *I mean Muhndee ) and sharing them with you. Whats it gonna hurt? Will be nice just to not dread him for the next year. Who knows we could even be friends...

So playin around with him a bit with designs. His hair is rockin , but will keep workin on him. And theres one thing we havin in common: loungin around in the undies so we're off on the good foot! Let see how far in to this guys world I get to before I turn into a complete whack job!

So finally the 300th post!! Happy New year heheh! Didnt think I would get to it before the end of the year ( I know I cheated with the quad post ;) This is a pic that I submitted for the darkstalkers tribute book earlier this year. ( Didnt make it in but had fun workin on it.)

SO I want to say thanks to all who've come by here with the kind words of inspiration. Its nice to feel apart of a wonderful and creative community ( even though its digital one )

This next year I want to make more of a point of pushing my self in a whole new direction. One that Ive been wanting to take for quite some time..So to everyone, the best of fortunes to you in the upcoming year and the journey to a better you starts with that first step!!
